Los Lobos & Ballet Folklorico Mexicano in Fiesta Mexico-Americana
Celebrating the long tradition of Mexican culture in America, the Grammy-award winning Chicano rock band Los Lobos join together with the renowned Ballet Folklorico Mexicano to bring you Fiesta Mexico-Americana, A Celebration of Mexican-American Heritage. The once-in-a-lifetime collaboration explores the contributions and achivements made by Mexican-Americans throughout history using the art of music, song, dance, and film. The exciting and inventive multi-media production uses visual display and spectacle to communicate the vibrant Mexican-American experience.
Fiesta Mexico-Americana features the award-winning Los Angeles rock band Los Lobos. First gaining popularity in 1987 with their cover version of “La Bamba,” Los Lobos draw influence from a variety of genres, including folk, blues, country, and traditional music such as boleros and cumbia. Active since 1973, the American Chicano rock group features members David Hidalgo, Louie Perez, Cesar Rosas, Conrad Lozano, and Steve Berlin. Their debut album, How Will the Wolf Survive?, is ranked #30 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Albums of the 1980s.

Founded in 1967, the ballet ensemble is based in Mexico City, where they have gained international recognition for their celebration of traditional Mexican culture through costume and dance. The group has over 120 difference dances in their repertoire, making each of their performances a brand new experience.
