Canadian Brass is returning to The Lyric stage!  The highly celebrated ensemble has truly earned the distinction of “the world’s most famous brass group”.  Comprised of five tremendous brass musicians, each a virtuoso in his own right, the varied Canadian Brass repertoire features brass standards as well as a wide-ranging library of original arrangements created especially for them. These include the works of Renaissance and Baroque masters, Classical works, marches, holiday favorites, ragtime, Dixieland, Latin, jazz, big band, Broadway and Christian music as well as popular songs and standards.  

Touring legends with an enthusiastic fan base, the Canadian Brass play to packed houses everywhere throughout the USA, Canada, Japan and Europe.   Masters of concert presentations, Canadian Brass has developed a uniquely engaging stage presence and rapport with audiences. Whatever the style, the music is central and performed with utmost dedication, skill and excellence. The hallmark of any Canadian Brass performance is entertainment, spontaneity, virtuosity and, most of all, fun.  And they do it with style. Famous for their unique attire of formal black suits and white running shoes,  each of the brass musicians plays on 24-karat gold plated Conn-Selmer instruments, ensuring the best sound possible with the most flair.

Not only does Canadian Brass boast a 40 year touring history and a highly impressive recording catalog, but the group has also attracted a large audience of over 1 million viewers on their YouTube channel. The five-person ensemble proves their ability to bring the previously under-appreciated genre of brass music to a younger generation with their excitement and musical adaptability.
