LIVINGSTON TAYLOR
Talk about great genes. Livingston Taylor is the fourth child in a musical family that includes Alex, James, Kate and Hugh. His top-forty hits include “I Will Be in Love With You” and “I’ll Come Running.” Livingston also wrote “I Can Dream of You” and “Boatman,” which were recorded by his brother James.
Equally at home in a range of genres, including folk, pop, gospel and jazz, Livingston is a consummate musician (he’s a full professor at the Berklee College of Music) who writes well-crafted, introspective songs that have earned him listeners worldwide. He’s also a natural performer, peppering his shows with personal stories, anecdotes and his ineffable warmth. When he visits the Lyric, don’t be surprised if he performs a classic Gershwin or a selection from the best of Broadway, along with his own compositions. Whatever Livingston’s repertoire includes, you’re guaranteed an evening to remember!
