Australia’s Thunder From Down Under - Desert Dreams
Now here’s the thing. It’s impossible to write about Thunder from Down Under, the internationally acclaimed male revue from Australia, without sounding, well cheeky. Since the group’s debut in 1991, Nearly 10 million people have watched them perform and they are a Lyric favorite. They are also one of the most popular acts on the Las Vegas Strip, which seems, somehow fitting. They’ve been featured on The View, Project Runway and E!’s Wild On: Las Vegas.
The perfect combination of chiseled bodies, seductive choreography, saucy humor and boy-next-door charm makes it a perfect Ladies Night Outback. Each sexy performer embodies a different female fantasy and brings it to life, turning the wildest of dreams into reality.
This isn’t the type of show you just sit and watch – Thunder is a fully interactive experience. The blokes make their way through the crowd and select a few lucky ladies to join in the fun on stage. “The crowds feel they know us on a personal level,” Stephen Morris, the group’s company manager and a dancer with them said. “We get the ladies involved on stage or in the crowd. It lifts the energy of the show when the audience is engaged. Lots of people come with their mothers, daughters, granddaughters and husbands and partners. It’s comedy. My friends have come, both gay and straight. My parents have come. Everyone that comes will have a good time. It’s cheeky and entertaining. My parents didn’t realize what a production it was. It’s a world-class Las Vegas show.”
And the guys have practically nothing on. That, too.
