So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience
Robert Neary’s style was shaped by listening to two consummate performers, Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond. It was an abiding dream of his to put together a Neil Diamond tribute show unlike any other, and it’s hard to believe it isn’t the master himself when Neary and his band take the stage and perform 20 of Neil Diamond’s greatest hits, including “Cherry, Cherry,” “I Am, I Said,” “Solitary Man,” “Coming to America,” “Sweet Caroline” and “I’m a Believer.” A Broadway, television and movie actor for over 35 years, Neary talks about the songs and tells the stories behind them. Neary captures every nuance of Neil Diamond’s signature vocals and ends the show with a surprise finale that will leave you breathless.
Born and raised on Long Island, Neary left for Los Angeles when he was 20. He had a guest role on the television series Fame and appeared opposite Jason Bateman in the film Teen Wolf Too. He appeared on General Hospital as Officer Frank Marino and has been a guest star on over 50 television shows.
In 1996, Neary landed his first Broadway show, starring in Smokey Joe’s Café. There he met his wife, Natasha, and they toured in the Elton John and Tim Rice hit, Aida, where he played the evil Zoser. In 2017, he returned to Broadway for the third time as the understudy to the lead role of Sonny on the Broadway hit, A Bronx Tale: The Musical. He has returned to Long Island where he lives with his family.
It was his dream and his passion to perform as Neil Diamond. He’s a believer and you will be, too. It’s so good.
