The Yacht Rock All Stars

The sophisticated, melodic soft rock songs of the 1970’s and early 1980’s have come to be known in music circles as “Yacht Rock.” Over the years these Insightful lyrics, tight harmonies and irresistible grooves have worked their way into the fabric of our very souls. Allengang Entertainment has decided to bring us all back to a more harmonious time by assembling the greatest stars of the era into a soft-rock supergroup known as the Yacht Rock All-Stars. The Yacht Rock All-Stars feature Grammy-nominated legend John Ford Coley (one half of the beloved soft rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley). He is joined on guitar and vocals by Peter Beckett, original lead singer and lead guitarist of the chart-topping California band Player (remember the 1977 #1 hit, “Baby Come Back”?). Peter also spent eight years touring and recording with The Little River Band. The rhythm section comes directly from multiple-grammy-nominated southern California band Ambrosia. Founding member Burleigh Drummond lends his drum and vocal talent, while vocal and keyboard duties are handled by fellow Ambrosia member Mary Harris (who was also a long-time member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band).

You’ll sing along to hits like “Nights are Forever”, “Baby Come Back”, “This Time I’m In it For Love”, “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight”, “How Much I Feel”, “Biggest Part of Me”, “You’re The Only Woman”, “Reminiscing” and “The Night Owl” -- all from some of the stars who brought them to you in the first place. This show will help you remember why all those great soft rock hits were better than anything written since the day feathered hair went out of style.
