Bravo Amici
Take three handsome tenors and add two stunning sopranos. Add a blend of classical and contemporary songs and arias and you have Bravo Amici. This dynamic group was formed in 2010 by husband-and-wife team Geoff Sewell and Simone Lanham, founders of Amici Forever, the world’s first opera band. Bravo Amici is a tribute to the emerging genre of contemporary classic crossover music, with world-class international performers who take on the best of pop and opera, giving each genre a taste of the classical. Their music has attracted the attention of Queen Elizabeth, Elton John and Paul McCartney.
Geoff Sewell is a native of New Zealand who studied music at the Boston Conservatory. He moved to London and got into the music business with Lanham, eventually forming Amici Forever. The group went on to sell more than 3.5 million albums worldwide and had two No. 1 albums. He had a successful solo career and performed for the Queen, Princes Charles, William and Harry and other members of the Royal Family at The Royal Albert Hall.
Bravo Amici has performed around the world, wowing audiences in the United States, Europe, Asia and New Zealand. Their recipe for thrilling audiences is to take the essential elements of classical crossover: pop, Broadway, the West End and opera and put it in a package that is uniquely their own. The classically trained singers bring audiences of different backgrounds together in a show that defies boundaries as it creates a new genre of music. The show is meant not only to entertain, but to excite and to connect with audiences in a concert listeners will never forget.
