The Lyric Theatre Presents

Cathleen Lewis and Rex Lewis-Clack

Musical savant Rex Lewis-Clack, and his mother, Cathleen Lewis, bring their astounding and inspirational performance to the Lyric Theatre.  Rex was born 13 years ago, blind and with brain damage so severe that it was predicted he might never walk or talk.  But on his second birthday, when his father bought him a keyboard, he was discovered to be a musical savant.  One of only a few such individuals in the world, Rex shares a mysterious combination of blindness, mental disability and musical genius.  His amazing talent has been showcased on “60 Minutes.”

Today Rex walks, talks, studies music, performs nationwide and abroad, and continues to defy the grim predictions of his early childhood.  His extraordinary talent and exuberance for music create an incredible and unforgettable performance.  The Lyric show will feature an introduction of Rex’s life by Cathleen Lewis and a piano concert by Rex.
