The Lyric Theatre Presents
The Machine: Pink Floyd Tribute
This January, the Lyric Theatre welcomes you to The Machine. One of the first and foremost Pink Floyd tribute bands in the United States, The Machine have over 20 years of experience performing all of Pink Floyd’s best material, from their biggest hits to their most obscure gems. Appearing everywhere from Bonnaroo to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, The Machine is as real as it gets. Spin magazine affirms, the Machine “sounds exactly like Pink Floyd.”
Formed in 1988 by Tahrah Cohen and Joe Pascarell, The Machine has dedicated their time and energy to performing the entirety of Pink Floyd’s collection with the justice and excitement only avid fans could deliver. More than just a simple tribute band, The Machine is highly regarded for their musicianship, advanced technical stage displays and lighting, and their passionate delivery. The group has been known to recreate entire albums from the British rock group’s 16-album repertoire, accept song requests from audience members, and even take an A to Z approach in which one song is played for every letter of the alphabet.
The creativity of the New York tribute band is endless. Through their 20 years of performing the best of Pink Floyd, The Machine is extending the legacy of the original sensation and creating another legacy of their own. The Machine has sold out theaters across North America, Europe, and Asia, impressing audiences across the globe. They’ve appeared at major festivals including Riverbend and Germany’s Rock of Ages as well as playing alongside full symphonic orchestras including the Detroit, Atlanta, and San Diego symphonies.
Thank you for supporting The Lyric Theatre, see you at the show!
