An Evening at the Copacabana: An American and Latin Extravaganza
The names of the clubs make you think of energy and sophistication: The Coconut Grove, the Tropicana, and, of course The Copacabana. An Evening at The Copacabana recreates the energy and excitement of a night on the town with a combination of sultry Latin dance rhythms from Argentina to Cuba, Madrid to Miami.
The show features an international cast of fiery Latin ballroom champions, elegant and sophisticated showgirls, percussive Argentinian gauchos, bilingual Cuban vocalists and authentic Flamenco dance artists. With the music of Latin artists from Carmen Miranda to Celia Cruz, Tito Puente to Gloria Estefan, and Desi Arnaz to Carlos Santana, An Evening at the Copacabana is a night of sultry singers and dancers, blazing choreography and electrifying percussion.
An Evening at the Copacabana feature stars who have performed internationally with Cirque du Soleil and onboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Daniel and Claudio Ponce follow in the tradition of great masters of Argentinian folklore, and their energetic dancing, drums and boleadoras make every performance unique. The show also stars Alessandra Torres and the artists of Luna Café, a Flamenco performance group from Venezuela. Latin ballroom champions Igor and Anastasia Puzhevitch from Belarus are featured, with performances of tradition tango and the street dances of the samba and salsa. Taking you through this dazzling evening is Cuban vocalist Mimi J, who has toured internationally in Rent and Grease and has performed with Gloria Estefan and Bobby McFerrin.
