Unlike traditional doo wop revue shows, Pop, Rock, and Doo Wopp Live! brings together some of the best performers of the 20th century in an historic evening that relives the diverse sounds of the 1960s, sung by the original hit-makers themselves. Featuring Dennis Tufano of the Buckinghams, Shirley Alston Reeves of the Shirelles, and Emil Stucchio and the Classics, Pop, Rock, and Doo Wopp Live! brings musical legends together in one performance of hits including "Kind of a Drag," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," and "Till Then."

Co-starring is The Buckinghams' original lead singer Dennis Tufano known as the original voice of '60s hits like "Don't You Care" and "Mercy Mercy Mercy," and who brought together the Chicago-based American Sunshine pop group in 1966. The quartet became one of the top selling acts of the late 1960s, charting five Top 40 hits in 1967. Although The Buckinghams dissolved in 1970, Dennis Tufano continued his career by forming the songwriting duo Tufano and Giammarese, who recorded three albums together, and joined with Elton John's lyricist, Bernie Taupin, on the album He Who Rides the Tiger. The founding member of the improvisational voice ensemble LA MadDogs, Tufano will also be included in the upcoming segment of the award-winning PBS series PBS Music Series: The '60s.

Joining Dennis Tufano is Shirley Alston Reeves, the original lead singer of the famous American girl group The Shirelles. With songs including "Soldier Boy" and "Mama Said," Reeves and the Shirelles have been credited with popularizing the girl group genre and bridging racial divides with the popularity of their music. Named one of “The 100 Best Artists of all Time” by Rolling Stone magazine, the Shirelles were accepted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and won the Pioneer Award from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation in 1994. In addition to the fame of the Shirelles, Shirley Alston Reeves embarked on a solo career in 1975, recording the album With a Little Help from My Friends, featuring members of hit group such as the Drifters and the Belmonts. In 2000, Reeves performed on the Doo Wop 51 special on PBS.

Lastly, Pop, Rock, and Doo Wopp Live! features Emil Stucchio and the Classics, an American vocal group formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1958. The Classics' first release, "Cinderella" was a big hit, reaching the Top 100 Billboard Chart. Their biggest hit came in 1963 with the release of "Till Then." Still a beloved classic, "Till Then" sold 5.5 million records and peaked at #20 on the pop music charts. Many versions of the song have since been recorded by musicians including Sammy Davis Jr, James Brown, and Al Martino. In 1964, the Classics released their album, PS I Love You which reached the Top 40. Although the original group disbanded in 1966, Emil Stucchio has continued to lead the Classics through the decades, performing standards, Italian classics, modern compositions, and '50s hits. Along with Stucchio, the Classics features vocalists Al Contrera and Teresa McClean. The talented trio's latest release A Moment in Time includes songs like "Wonderful Wonderful" and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" with duets by Stucchio and McClean and orchestra arrangements by Tom Schizzano.
