SOLD OUT ~ Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway
The Lyric Theatre welcomes the #1 touring Broadway concert in the United States. Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway will recreate some of the greatest moments from the most famous shows of the 20th century, including Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Starring the actors who starred in many of these hit shows, 100 Years of Broadway "features some of the best songs from the best Broadway shows, all sung by some of the most talented performers working today.” What makes 100 Years of Broadway truly unique is composer and lyricist Neil Berg's inspired arrangements of classics and new hits.
Starring a cast of five Broadway stars accompanied by a dazzling New York live band, 100 Years of Broadway was co-created by Broadway veteran Neil Berg and Adam Friedson. Berg's credits range from the off-Broadway hit The Prince and the Pauper to a brand-new musical version of the famous film Grumpy Old Men starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Berg is currently collaborating with the Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan on a new rock musical called The Twelve as well as a fairytale musical Never Grimm with writer Jonathan Feldman. In addition to his work on the stage, Neil Berg is an accomplished film composer with credits including Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn and Searching for Bobby D. In 2012, Berg was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his lifetime of artistry and dedication to community service for helping to raise $15 million for homeless youth. As the co-owner of the SJR Theater Workshop, a theater camp for students in Montvale, New Jersey, Berg helps instruct over 200 young actors and singers every year.
In Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway, veteran composer and lyricist Neil Berg takes on the greatest shows of all time in one unforgettable night.
