iO - Whirled News Tonight

For 25 years, Chicago’s iO Theater has been known for its groundbreaking, star-making, world class improvisational comedy.  “Whirled News Tonight” is the troupe’s spontaneous send-up of the day’s happenings, based on the latest news articles. Think of it as improvisation for The Wall Street Journal set.
Armed with today’s headlines, this team of equal opportunity satirists creates a topical, intelligent and above all, hilarious show.  Equal parts news parody and social commentary, Whirled News Tonight is as sure to spark debate as it is to tickle the funny bone.  The news is real.  Everything else is improvised.
