Brand New Day Sting and Police Tribute
Brand New Day is a very different type of band. This Sting & The Police tribute band is pulling out all the stops to present a show that you just can’t take your eyes off for fear of missing something! Utilizing Sting’s former sax player Butch Thomas allows them to faithfully recreate the incredibly diverse catalog of both the Police and Sting – from the reggae-tinged new wave of the late 70’s to the jazz & pop stylings of Sting’s eclectic solo catalog.
The band is led by one of the most diversely experienced singer/musicians around, Todd Plant. He has played and sung in almost every conceivable genre and situation as well as recording dozens of internationally released CD’s both as band member and as a hired gun doing lead and backing vocals on countless demo and album projects, jingles, wrestling fight songs and Monster truck themes. With his chameleon-like voice, he has become a tribute band master, singing in tributes to Steely Dan, Eagles, U2, Led Zeppelin, Michael Bublé, the Doobie Brothers, Santana, 38 Special, and of course Sting & the Police.
The Brand New Day lineup includes some truly top-shelf musicians:
Bassist/vocalist Howard Kleinfeld co-wrote with Kansas, was signed to RCA, was staff writer at EMI, toured Europe, owned his own commercial production company scoring films, TV and jingles for major clients like McDonalds, HBO and many more.
Drummer/vocalist Michael Conway is a multi-instrumentalist and studio guru. He has worked with Nicolette Larson, Nancy Wilson, Tone Loc, Neil Larsen and Bertie Higgins among others.
Guitarist/vocalist Mark Vincent is an experienced LA sessions player and Las Vegas hired gun. He placed with Steely Dan tribute band Pretzel Logic, and has worked with Melissa Etheridge, Stanley Clarke, the 5th Dimension, Wayne Newton, Vin Diesel, Don Rickles and others.
