Taking percussion to a whole new level, Recycled Percussion is a “junk rock” performance perfect for the whole family. After becoming a national phenomenon following their appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2009, Recycled Percussion has brought their brand of innovative rock percussion to audiences across the United States and around the world in over 15 countries. In their immersive performances, the quartet of percussionists use buckets, power tools, ladders, trashcans, and anything else they can get their hands on to make music.
Formed in Goffstown, New Hampshire, Recycled Percussion was formed by Justin Spencer in 1995. Along with groups like Stomp, the junk rock group helped give birth to this exciting style of music. Recycled Percussion got their first break in 2009, when they appeared on America’s Got Talent. They became the then highest-placed non-singing act to ever compete when they finished 3rd in the competition. Since then, the group has had guest appearances on the Carson Daly Show, the Today Show, China’s Got Talent, and the Latin Grammy Awards. Recycled Percussion was featured on the cover of USA Today and voted National Act of the Year a record-breaking six times. In 2010, the percussionists became headliners in Las Vegas, performing nightly in the Saxe Theater at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas Strip. Don’t miss Recycled Percussion in their performance at The Lyric Theatre.
