The Lyric's AWESOME! Summer Camp 2024

Having good character onstage and off, that is the motto of Lyric’s AWESOME! Summer Camp. 

The Lyric's AWESOME! Summer Camp is more than just the ordinary theater camp! 

​Campers get three AWESOME weeks exploring drama, dance, music and technical theater production. AWESOME Summer Camp Staff use the performing arts as a medium to teach Campers about teamwork, self-discipline, problem-solving, tolerance and kindness.

At Lyric’s AWESOME! Summer Camp, we are more interested in developing the camper's character off the stage than on stage. LASC has proven to be a powerful platform to get kids on board with socially responsible behavior. Each session supports a theme to promote teamwork, self-discipline, problem-solving, tolerance and kindness. We use the performing arts as a medium to teach practical life skills applications and character-building techniques that translate to everyday life. Each of the teaching staff at LASC are passionately committed not only to arts education but to bolstering the self-confidence and empowerment of each of our campers. Through working together toward the common goal of presenting the sharing, our blossoming actors learn to overcome adversity, insecurities and respect for direction and different points of view. And it’s just plain FUN!

Don’t want to be on stage? We’ve got an important role for you too! Join our Stage Crew and build props, scenery and help run the show. And just to round things out, we throw in some crazy summer camp fun like a arts & crafts, game show fun, movie days and outdoor recreation.

I Don't Want to Grow Up, we believe that growing up doesn’t mean leaving behind the magic of childhood—it means embracing the adventure of change! This summer, campers will explore what it means to face new challenges, celebrate personal growth, and discover that change can be exciting, not scary. Through heartwarming stories, songs, and dances we’ll learn together that while life’s changes are inevitable, we can always hold onto the joy, curiosity, and wonder that make us feel young at heart. Join us for a summer of fun, friendship, and discovering the endless possibilities that come with growing—and staying—true to yourself!

It’s All Greek to Me: Exploring Greek Mythology ~ Lyric AWESOME Summer Camp!
Session 2: July 7-25 Step into the world of gods, heroes, and epic adventures in Session 2 of LASC “It’s All Greek to Me! This summer, campers will embark on thrilling quests inspired by the fascinating tales of Greek mythology. From battling monsters like the Hydra to discovering the secrets of Mount Olympus, we’ll dive into stories of bravery, wisdom, and teamwork. Through arts, songs, dances, and stories, campers will learn about legendary creatures, mighty gods, and the timeless lessons these myths teach. Get ready to unleash your inner hero and explore a world where anything is possible—because at this camp, myth and magic come to life!
