Treasure Coast Youth Symphony Presents
Over the Top
Frere Jacques, Stranger in Paradise, the Czech Airlines landing theme, and an overture from a notorious 20th century despot’s favorite opera are familiar themes and sounds in the music of the four composers whose music is featured in this stirring concert. These spellbinding works of Smetana, Borodin, Wagner, and Mahler are noted for the “responses forte” elicited from their listeners. Also included is the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony’s 2015 Concerto Competition Winner, cellist, Megan Savage, who will perform the well-loved Saint Saens Cello Concerto.
